Professional Woolwax Undercoating & Spray Coatings Built for Southeast Alaska
Why Undercoating Matters in Southeast Alaska
Southeast Alaska is one of the harshest places in the country for vehicles. Constant rain, wet roads, coastal salt air, and winter road treatments create the perfect environment for rust to start early and spread fast—often where you can’t see it.
Unlike colder climates where vehicles freeze dry, Southeast Alaska stays wet. Moisture and salt get trapped inside seams, frame rails, and underbody components, allowing corrosion to develop from the inside out. Factory coatings and paint alone simply aren’t built to handle years of continuous exposure to these conditions.
That’s where proper undercoating makes the difference.
A lanolin-based undercoating like Woolwax works by displacing moisture, penetrating seams, and forming a flexible protective barrier that won’t crack, harden, or trap water. It creeps into the areas rust starts first and continues protecting long after application—making it ideal for our climate.
If you plan to keep your vehicle in Southeast Alaska, undercoating isn’t an upgrade—it’s preventative maintenance. It helps slow corrosion, extend the life of your vehicle, and protect the investment you rely on every day.
Rust is easier to prevent than repair.
Our Services
Woolwax Lanolin Oil is a premium, petroleum-free rust protection designed for harsh environments. Made from refined lanolin (wool grease), it actively creeps into seams, welds, and hard-to-reach areas, forming a moisture-resistant barrier that stops corrosion before it starts.
Unlike hard waxes or rubberized coatings that can crack or trap moisture, Woolwax remains soft and flexible, allowing it to continue protecting metal surfaces over time. This makes it especially effective for frames, suspension components, brake lines, and underbody cavities exposed to road salt, moisture, and freeze-thaw cycles.
Woolwax is ideal for customers looking for maximum corrosion protection without permanently sealing the surface. It does not wash off easily, will not dry out, and is safe for use on metal, wiring, and rubber components.
Woolwax will need to be reapplied over time. It depends on how often the vehicle is driving and where its stored. Most common is to reapply every 12-18 months.
Small/Medium sized vehicle are $350 with Full sized SUV’s of Trucks are $450. This price includes inside the frame and rocker panels to protect your vehicle for years to come.
Woolwax Hard-On is a thicker, more durable lanolin-based undercoating engineered for vehicles that see heavy road spray, salt, and harsh conditions. It combines the proven corrosion protection of lanolin with a tackier, semi-firm finish that stays in place longer on exposed surfaces. Woolwax Hard-On CAN ONLY be applied to vehicles with little to NO RUST!
Hard-On sets up firmer than traditional lanolin oil while still remaining self-healing and moisture-displacing. This makes it ideal for areas that are constantly blasted by water, slush, and debris—such as frames, crossmembers, suspension components, and underbodies. Unlike rubberized coatings, Hard-On will not crack or seal in moisture, allowing it to continue protecting metal over time.
This product is an excellent option for customers who want long-lasting protection with reduced reapplication frequency, while still benefiting from lanolin’s ability to creep into seams and prevent corrosion at its source.
Cost is $1200 for Hard-On only. If you want interior of frame coated with Woolwax Lanolin that is an additional $200. You will need to leave your vehicle with us for 2 days.
Raptor Liner is a premium spray-on polyurethane coating engineered to protect your truck bed. Once applied, it cures into a tough, textured, impact-resistant surface that stands up to tools, cargo, weather, and daily wear without cracking, peeling, or fading.
At IronPaw Spray Coatings, we focus on proper surface preparation and professional application, ensuring maximum adhesion and long-term durability. Raptor Liner provides excellent resistance to scratches, corrosion, chemicals, and UV exposure, making it ideal for truck beds, trailers, bumpers, rockers, and high-wear areas.
The finished result is a rugged, non-slip surface that not only protects your investment but also delivers a clean, aggressive look built for real-world use.
Price is for standard bed. Extra fees apply for a long bed or double coating for more durability.
Why to protect your vehicle?
The Dangers of Rust
In Southeast Alaska’s wet, coastal environment, rust doesn’t take long to start—and once it does, it spreads fast. Constant moisture, road salt, and winter road treatments attack your vehicle from underneath, often in areas you can’t see until the damage is already severe.
Left untreated, surface corrosion can quickly turn into structural damage, leading to costly repairs or premature vehicle replacement. That’s why preventative undercoating isn’t just cosmetic here—it’s essential.
At IronPaw Spray Coatings, we thoroughly clean the undercarriage to remove salt, grime, and road contaminants before applying Woolwax, helping stop corrosion in its tracks and protect vulnerable metal from further exposure.
